Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA)

The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) is a regional inter-governmental agency which specializes in disaster management for the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).  Comprising of twenty (20) participating states its mandate is to serve as the facilitator, driver, coordinator and motivating force for the promotion and engineering of Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) in all participating states. 

CDEMA is proud to be a partner on HIT RESET Caribbean since it  will enable  development of the region’s capacity to plan and implement innovative mitigation and adaptation measures which are necessary to offset the increasing effects of climate change. This project aims to provide support for projects which develop innovations to increase resilience in coastal communities of the Caribbean, as well as strengthen institutions, national and local governments’ ability to leverage information and knowledge for policy amendments.
