The UWI St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Caribbean Urban Forum (CUF) 2023, an output of the project “HIT RESET Caribbean”. The 12th Forum (CUF2023) will be held from the 31st May – 2nd June 2023 in Paramaribo, Suriname.
In addition to being an output of the project “HIT RESET Caribbean”, this forum is the major annual regional event on urban planning, development, and land management. It will be the main opportunity for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to share experience and knowledge across the Caribbean.
As such, CUF is inviting practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to make submissions for this year’s Forum. There is no restriction on the academic or professional background of authors so long as their topic complements the CUF 2023 theme: Improving Resilience and Sustainability through Innovation
The thematic areas to be addressed are:
- Energy Resilience and Local Development
- Climate Resilience through Technology and Ecosystem based Approaches
- Mitigation and Management of Disaster Impacts
- Gender – Equity and Social Inclusion in Urban Planning
- Economic Recovery Resilience and Local Economic Development
- Professional Planning Practice, Education and Training in the Caribbean
The deadline for submission of proposals/abstracts is February 15th, 2023.
